I am an avid art and design lover and when working on personal or professional design projects I strive to create well-designed, thoughtful and beautiful graphics. I love vintage typefaces, particularly from the Art Deco and mid-century eras and keep an eye out for color or typeface inspiration wherever I go!
As a photographer, I am passionate about making pictures using traditional darkroom methods and capturing the sunlight's interaction in my everyday life. In addition to making photographs, you can find me painting, drawing, sewing Star Trek - The Next Generation character ornaments and using crepe paper to create realistic floral arrangements.
In 2011 I received my BFA in Studio Art and am currently pursuing a Graphic Design Certificate to expand my knowledge of design, Adobe software and typography.
I have experience working with museums and galleries including Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art, Denver Art Museum, Museo De Las Americas, Colorado Photographic Arts Center and Sandra Phillips Gallery in Denver as well as the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego. From 2012 to 2021 at Kirkland Museum, I gained knowledge of Modern design movements as well as Colorado artists through my work researching and writing exhibition text, leading tours for the public and training volunteers as the Education & Volunteer Services Manager.
Incorporating social justice values into my life is important to me and why I commit to being a lifelong learner and advocate. When not working, I'm thrifting for vintage treasures, trying to reduce my plastic consumption, practicing Spanish and planning our fruit and vegetable garden for the next season.
I look forward to speaking with you!
