Project

The mundane places of everyday life is where I am most interested in finding beauty. I photographed my familiar surroundings, drawn to instances of natural light entering my home, all of them a surprise during my day. As light sensitive materials are the essential elements of traditional photograph, my series 2701 S. Fillmore contained light as the subject and the display method. To accomplish this, I printed my photographs on transparent large-scale orthochromatic film, mounted in custom light boxes. ​
