Project

During a year in Florence the crowds often overwhelmed me and drew me to find the dark and barren scenes in the typically bustling city. Being from rural New Mexico, a place with dirt roads and pitch black night skies, I ached to find the emptiness in a city renowned for its beauty. Drawn to these dim and lonely scenes, my series of photographs are entitled Scuro, "dark" in Italian.
